Lerman Senter Announces New Member and Two New Attorneys

Lerman Senter is pleased to announce that Jeff Carlisle has been named a Member of the firm, and that Brett Heather Freedson and Carmel Amero have joined the firm as attorneys.

Carlisle joined the firm as Counsel in 2019. He practices in Lerman Senter’s Broadband, Spectrum, Utilities, and Communications Infrastructure, and Satellite, practice groups. His practice covers a broad swath of the telecommunications industry, from wireless to satellite to wireline and cable. He has extensive experience representing telecommunications companies and investors before the FCC, state regulatory commissions, and the International Telecommunication Union.

“Lerman Senter has proven an ideal place to practice. I’ve found so many synergies with the attorneys here, and I’m proud to be named as a Member,” said Carlisle.

Brett Heather Freedson has joined the firm as Counsel, working within the Broadband, Spectrum, Utilities, and Communications Infrastructure practice group. Brett has extensive experience working with utility companies on pole attachment and infrastructure matters, and a variety of FCC and state regulatory matters that impact utility businesses. She also specializes in counseling electric utilities, gas transmission companies, wireless spectrum licensees, and institutional telecommunications end users on a broad range of transactional, dispute resolution, and FCC compliance matters, including TCPA.

Carmel Amero has joined the firm as an Associate. She is a 2020 graduate of The George Washington University Law School, where she served as Associate Editor of the American Intellectual Property Law Association Quarterly Journal, was a member of the Student Intellectual Property Law Association, and was a member of the GW Black Law Student Association. She worked as a legal assistant for nearly a decade before and during law school.
