FCC Extends License Renewal, KidVid Report, and OPIF Filing Deadlines

Due to ongoing technical issues with the Online Public Inspection File (OPIF) and Licensing and Management System (LMS), the FCC has announced a further extension of filing deadlines for filings in OPIF and LMS. Broadcast radio and television stations that were originally required to upload documents to their OPIFs by January 1, 2023, or to submit February license renewal applications or 2022 annual children’s television programming reports in LMS, now have until February 28, 2023 to file.

The FCC had originally extended January 1, 2023 deadline to January 31, but decided that continuing technical issues warranted a further extension.
