Lerman Senter is a major Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Program Sponsor of the ABA Forum on Communications Law 26th Annual Conference, and other programs that will foster diverse participation in Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) Law. Under the unanimous agreement of the Forum’s Governing Committee, all of the Forum’s programs for 2021 will focus on DEI in a comprehensive effort to recruit, hire, train, and promote diverse law students and young attorneys.
S. Jenell Trigg, Member, has served on the Forum’s Governing Committee for many years and serves on the Forum’s Diversity Committee. She will moderate the opening Plenary Session of the Forum’s new Digital and Media Leadership Academy as part of the 26th Annual Conference. The Leadership Academy is designed to train and mentor diverse young attorneys. The Plenary Session is titled Your Career Path to Leadership & Success: Mentoring Others & Overcoming Obstacles. Speakers, who will discuss their career paths and experiences as attorneys of color, include the Honorable Dennis Archer, former Mayor of Detroit and Chairman Emeritus of Dickinson Wright; the Honorable Quinton Lucas, Mayor of Kansas City; and Donise E. Brown, Managing Director, Innovation, Global Supply Chain, Commercial for Starbucks Corporation.
