Saturday, January 28, 2023 is National Data Privacy Day, a commemoration of best practices and policies to secure and protect the wide range of personal information that businesses – from small to large – collect, use, disclose, and store. National Data Privacy Day was first recognized by the U.S. Congress in 2008.
In celebration of National Data Privacy Day, Lerman Senter has released its new privacy and data security infographic for 2023 - It is 2023. Does Your Business Know How It Must Protect Personal Information? - highlighting the status of various privacy and data security laws in the United States and internationally. This graphic overview of privacy and data security requirements by the numbers illustrates the scope of laws that can impact your everyday operations, reputation, and bottom line. We hope this infographic will emphasize the importance of protecting customer and employee personal information from unauthorized access, use and disclosure, as well as best practices and policies that address the security of your network and internal systems.
We invite you to contact us if you have questions about your own privacy, data protection and cybersecurity compliance efforts, including internal best practices and policies.
