Payment of FCC regulatory fees for FY 2022 (which cover the period October 1, 2021 – September 30, 2022) is due by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. Payments received after the deadline will be subject to an automatic 25% late fee and interest charges.
Filers should be aware that the FCC has discontinued use of the Fee Filer system for payments. Regulatory fee payments must now be initiated using CORES. More information about payment methods and procedures can be found here.
Regulatory fee information for FY 2022 can be found here. The general regulatory fee schedule can be found in Appendix C to FCC’s Regulatory Fee Report and Order. Specific information about fees owed by licensees of broadcast stations can be found in the Regulatory Fees Fact Sheet.
The FCC has extended to FY 2022 the fee waiver, deferral, and installment payment programs for licensees experiencing financial hardships related to COVID-19. More information is found in the FCC’s Regulatory Fee Report and Order. Licensees that think they may need a waiver, deferral, or installment plan for their regulatory fees should submit their requests as soon as possible so the FCC has time to respond before the September 28 deadline.
