Clarification: BAS and CARS Licensees in the 12.7-13.25 GHz Band Must Certify Accuracy by November 29, 2023

As we reported earlier, Broadcast Auxiliary Services (BAS) and Cable Television Relay Services (CARS) licensees who hold licenses in the 12.7-13.25 GHz band must certify the accuracy of the information on their licenses by November 29, 2023. Part of our original advisory stated that the certification requirement applied to BAS and CARS licenses in the 12.75 – 13.25 GHz band. We are sending this memo to clarify that the certification requirement applies to licenses in the 12.7 – 13.25 GHz band, also known as the 12.7 GHz band.

If a BAS or CARS licensee holds a license between 12.7 and 13.25 GHz, and the application for that license or for modification of that license was filed before January 1, 2021, the licensee must complete the certification by November 29.
