Mr. Corbett is the head of the firm's Broadcast Practice Group.  During his more than twenty-five years of communications law practice, Mr. Corbett has handled diverse regulatory and transactional matters, ranging from day-to-day representation and the acquisition and sale of broadcast stations, to participation in multiple agency and court proceedings involving issues of industry-wide concern.  He has also handled major administrative litigation and FCC Enforcement Bureau proceedings for a wide variety of clients and been a frequent panelist at industry conventions and conferences.  Mr. Corbett has filled a variety of leadership roles within the Federal Communications Bar Association (FCBA).  He is a current co-chair of the FCBA's Enforcement Practice Committee, a former Member of its Executive Committee, and former co-chair of its Mass Media Practice and Access to Records Committees.  He previously served as a Trustee, General Counsel and Secretary for Lowell School in Washington and as a Trustee of the Barker Foundation, an adoption agency serving metropolitan Washington. He currently serves on Barker’s Nominations Committee.

A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mr. Corbett graduated magna cum laude in 1975 from Harvard College, concentrating in British History and Literature.  While at Harvard, he was an editor of The Harvard Crimson, and before attending law school, worked on the editorial staff of Harvard Magazine.  While in law school at Georgetown, Mr. Corbett was Case and Note Editor for the school's international law journal, Law and Policy in International Business.
