A Media Financial Management Association Online Seminar
Lerman Senter Senior Counsel Katrina Gleber and Keith Apple, an associate with the firm, jointly presented an online seminar concerning the Federal Trade Commission's 'Red Flags' Rule. This new rule will require creditors, including media companies that extend credit, to have identity theft prevention programs no later than May 1, 2009. For example, broadcast companies would be considered "creditors" if they extend credit for advertising, promotional or other services and payment is made after-the fact. The attached PowerPoint slides outline the key issues discussed in the presentation.
