Form 323 Commercial Broadcast Station Ownership Report Now Available |

The FCC has announced that the
revised ownership report form (FCC Form 323) is now available on the
FCC’s electronic filing system and that the new deadline for filing biennial
ownership reports for commercial broadcast stations is July 8, 2010.
Although the filing deadline has been extended, the information required to
be reported on the form must reflect ownership interests as of November 1,
2009. The
revised Form 323 represents the FCC’s attempt to address the numerous problems
associated with the prior version of the form, which was overly burdensome
and time consuming to complete. Last December, the FCC suspended the
most recent filing deadline pending technical improvements to the form. The
FCC urges broadcasters to file their ownership reports as early as possible
and well in advance of the July 8 deadline. Should
